Our Journey
In 2018, Bayong Gracia was born from a simple yet profound vision—to elevate the traditional Filipino bayong into a global fashion statement. Founder Honey Tess B. Alcantara, inspired by her love for Filipino heritage and craftsmanship, set out to redefine this iconic woven bag. What was once a functional market staple would soon become a stylish and meaningful accessory.
From 2018 to 2020, the brand took a bold step forward by introducing hand-painted designs. Each bag was transformed into a unique piece of art, showcasing vibrant colors and intricate patterns that celebrated Filipino creativity. By blending artistry with practicality, Bayong Gracia began to stand out as a brand that honored tradition while embracing innovation.
In 2021, the world started to take notice. Bayong Gracia gained recognition both locally and internationally, earning praise for its elegance and authenticity. The brand’s collaborations with local artisans not only elevated the bayong’s design but also empowered communities by providing sustainable livelihoods and promoting traditional craftsmanship.
Today, Bayong Gracia continues its journey of blending tradition with modern style. The mission remains clear: to bring the beauty of Filipino culture to the world, one stunning bayong at a time.
